鋼の錬金術師 (Fullmetal Alchemist)

人は何かの犠牲なしに何も得ることは出来ない。何かを得るためには同等の代価が必要となる。それが、錬金術における等価交換の原則だ。その頃、ボクらはそれが世界の真実だと信じていた。

でも、本当の世界は不完全で、そのすべてを説明する原則なんて存在しなかった。等価交換の原則も。　それでもボクらは信じている。　人は代価なしに何も得ることは出来ない。　ボクらが受けた痛みは、きっと何かを得るための代価だったはずだ。　そして、人は努力という代価を払うことで、必ず何かを得ることが出来ると。　等価交換は世界の原則じゃない。　いつかまた会う日に交わした、ボクと兄さんの約束だ。

(Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

But the world isn't perfect, and there is not one law that encompasses everything that goes on here. Not even the law of Equivalent Exchange. Even so, we still choose to believe in its principle: that all things do come at a price. That there's an ebb, and a flow, a cycle. That the pain we went through did have a reward and that anyone who's determined and perseveres will get something of value in return, even if it's not what they expected. I don't think of Equivalent Exchange as a law of the world anymore. I think of it as a promise between my brother and me - a promise that someday, we'll see each other again.

我都算幾落後﹐o係日本播完幾年先睇。呢套動畫應該可以算係呢幾年裡面既經典之作﹐Ed 同Al o個種不惜為對方捨命既兄弟情真係幾令人感動﹐劇本都好明顯好落心機去寫﹐真係好有意思。呢個故事說明左世上無不勞而獲﹐而付出代價之後﹐卻不一定會有預期中既收穫﹔不過﹐任何既付出都總會有所得著﹐即使得到的並不一定係意料之內或者係當初想要既。

而家煲完動畫﹐可能會嘗試煲埋漫畫(劇情同動畫有頗大出入)
